Description
The Church of San Pietro is located at the foot of Mt. Mutaro in the hamlet of Valcaldara, not far from San Giovanni, a few meters above the plain before it.
The solitary sacred building has long been reduced to a pile of rubble, except for part of the façade and the walls. It is preceded by a completely ruined room; all that remains is the round-arched portal from the late 1300s and a stone on the right jamb. The narrow interior was renovated in the 1500s; some tombs and a large semi-hidden Roman stone can be seen.
