Description
The Church of San Paterniano can be found in a remote position by walking up the old road to Cerreto, after the Church of Santa Maria (with its late Renaissance façade) and the remains of a tower house.
The ogival portal is decorated with ornate plant motifs. The current façade appears to have been moved backwards compared to the original lost façade, which was probably Romanesque. The presbytery has a 17th-century fresco of the Madonna and Child and the bell tower used to be a watchtower. One click
