Description
In correspondence with the front of the church of San Valentino, close to the town of Maltignano, it is possible to observe five large square quoins, one of which is engraved.
In all probability they belong to a building of substantial size located close to the church. The fragmentary blocks and a shaped quoin found in Le Piagge, downstream from the slope dominated by the church, are probably of the same construction. On the right side of the road, below the church, is the fountain. Here, reused in the masonry, it is possible to see fragments of Doric friezes, inscriptions, and ancient quoins.
