Description
Some square, local limestone segments to document the Roman presence can be found sporadically throughout the village of Palmaiolo. One of these is fragmented around three edges but has preserved a trace of an epigraph.
The settlement has continued throughout the ages due to it being a relay village along one of the paths towards the plain, Piano di S. Scolastica. It did not grow very big due to the very nature of the place, as it stands in a very narrow valley squeezed between Colle Moricone and the steep hillsides of Puro to the south.
